What is CPC (Cost Per Click)?

The amount you pay, on average, each time someone clicks your ad.

In plain words

CPC is the total ad spend divided by the number of clicks. A low CPC is not good by itself: cheap clicks that never buy are worse than costly clicks that do.

Questions to ask a company that offers this

  1. What CPC do you expect for my market, and on what basis?
  2. How do you judge a click's value?

A good company will answer these plainly and in writing. Vague or evasive answers are worth noting.
